July’s Near-Death Experience Meeting hosted by IANDS (2019)
July 8 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Only a few days before graduating high school, Andrew Petro died drowning. Instantly, he went from feeling cold and in extreme pain to feeling warm and filled with an ineffable love and peace. Enveloped in an unconditional love, Andrew looks up, sees and is drawn toward a gentle but powerful Light.
Andrew’s near-death experience begins there, and like many other NDErs, returning to the body was painful, confusing, and very upsetting for Andrew. Able to remember exactly what happened to him while in the Light, returning to his body left him very sad and angry for years.
25 years later, Andrew reads Raymond Moody’s book, Life After Life, and for the first time realizes that when he drowned he actually had what surprisingly many others have had – a near-death experience.
Soon after that no doubt paradigm shifting discovery, Andrew found himself waking up in the middle of the night, not able to go back to sleep until writing down the strange words, phrases, and images that spun around his mind. He was writing poems about his NDE.
“Remembering the Light” is Andrew’s book of poems that he collected over the years to describe what it felt like to drown, die, be in the Light, and return to Earth again. A couple of years later, Andrew published his second book, Alive in the Light, describing his NDE in prose.
“Whenever I think about the Light, I smile as I feel myself fill with ecstasy and the desire to return to the Light … to return Home…” – Andrew Petro
On July 8th, Andrew will share his NDE in person with the Sacramento IANDS Group. If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to drown, die and be dead, this is your opportunity to hear from someone who has done all that. This will also be another opportunity for Andrew to think about the Light and fill again with ecstasy. So come join another fascinating discussion and chance to return to the Light together!
