IANDS - Explore Near Death Experiences

Sacramento NDE Meeting Do’s & Don’ts

Sacramento NDE meetings are open to all those interested in near-death and other spiritual transformative experiences. All near-death or near-death-like experiencers and all else who attend are accepted, respected, and supported.

All participants including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, and volunteers are expected to abide by the Sacramento NDE Code of Conduct in order to ensure a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all.

It is important to note that it is an IANDS policy that groups shall operate on a “no party (political/religious) line” basis. All serious, respectful viewpoints on interpretation of near-death and near-death-like experiences are welcomed (e.g. reincarnation vs non-reincarnation beliefs, religious vs non-religious perspectives, etc.) within the context of explaining one’s own experience. Proselytizing (attempting to convert others to one’s own belief system) is not permitted.

Expected Behavior

  • All participants, attendees, and volunteers, are treated with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views, opinions, backgrounds, beliefs, and faiths.
  • Always be considerate and respectful to all participants.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert a meeting facilitator if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, verbal abuse, intimidation or discrimination in any form is not permitted.
  • Physical abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, or meeting facilitator is not permitted.
  • Proselytizing any single interpretation of near-death experiences or point of view is not permitted.
  • Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:
    • verbal comments related to:

  • Anyone requested to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately or will have to leave the meeting.
